WAYNE TOWNSHIP HONORS DEDICATED EMPLOYEES
The Wayne Township Trustee’s Office recently honored two of its employees for their dedicated service to the Township.
Honored were security officers Charlie Williams and Michael Johnson. Township Trustee Richard A. Stevenson, Sr. recognized these two employees for their attention to detail and their responsiveness to the needs of our clients and of our office.
Trustee Stevenson said, “Mr. Williams and Mr. Johnson play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Trustee’s Office. Their helpful attitudes and their respect for our clients help create a positive environment at the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office.”
Charlie Williams began working at the Trustee’s Office in 1981 as an investigator. He left the Trustee’s Office in 1989, but came back in 1993 to work in security. He has been a security officer at the Trustee’s Office ever since.
Mr. Williams believes in the Bible passage that you should “do unto others what you would have them do unto you.” “If you approach clients with that Bible passage in mind, those individuals are more likely to follow the rules of our office,” Mr. Williams said.
Michael Johnson began working at the Trustee’s office in January. He has considerable experience working in security positions, including being security manager at Southtown Mall before it closed.
Mr. Johnson sees his job as a support for clients. When a client becomes frustrated, he speaks to the client to try to help him or her. He even has served as a babysitter while a client with small children met with her investigator.
The Wayne Township Trustee’s Office is fortunate to have employees like Mr. Williams and Mr. Johnson, Trustee Stevenson added.
