WHY YOUR WEIRDNESS IS WONDERFUL: Embrace Your Quirks and Live Your Strengths
by Laurie Wallin Abingdon
2-370000-130754, PB, 185 pages, $15.99

Have you ever wondered why God created you with such weird, even annoying, quirks?

In this book Laurie Wallin explores why God created quirks. Through short, easy-to-read chapters, Wallin explains exactly why weirdness is a good thing.

God did not make a mistake in creating humanity with weaknesses. He did it on purpose with the intent of turning those weaknesses into strengths for his glory.
In Wallin’s book, she instructs on how to do this, and challenges readers to think by including reflection questions at the end of each chapter.

As a life coach, Wallin has many borrowed experiences to include in her book, but she does not shy away from delving into her personal life for examples of how her own quirks have been used for God’s glory.

I would rate Why Your Weirdness is Wonderful as a four on a scale of one to five. Most women will relate and sympathize with Wallin’s stories, as well as with the point she makes. The book emphasizes the mental transformation that has to be made in order to turn weaknesses into strengths for God’s glory. Wallin never gives advice for building up the self for one’s own glory, but only to shine light on what God is doing and to worship him through the way one lives.

Although slightly repetitive, I think most readers will enjoy Laurie Wallin’s latest book.
