DNR COMPLETES GYPSY MOTH TREATMENTS IN NORTHERN INDIANA
This year’s final round of treatment for the gypsy moth is now completed in Northern Indiana. The treatments consisted of small plastic flakes that were dropped from the airplane. The flakes are covered with a scent important in the gypsy moth mating cycle and will ultimately disrupt mating. DNR entomologists will observe the area for the rest of this year and make a determination if any treatment will be needed again next year.
