STAR FINANCIAL BANK NAMES JOHN BROOKS AS BOARD MEMBER
STAR Financial Bank, a subsidiary of STAR Financial Group, has elected John Brooks, Secretary of Brooks Construction Company, Inc., as its newest Board Member, announced Jim Marcuccilli, president and chief executive officer, STAR Financial Bank.
“We have known the Brooks family since the mid-forties and their business reputation is impeccable,” said Marcuccilli. “To have an individual of John’s experience and knowledge join our team will enhance our Bank Board’s community knowledge and the needs of the markets in which we serve.”
Brooks, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University in 1976. Brooks has held numerous positions within Brooks Construction Company, but now focuses his efforts on the company’s strategic planning & new plant development.
Dedicated to making the community a better place, Brooks has donated countless hours by serving on different boards. Serving on the Board for Parkview Health Systems; past President of the Board for Family & Children Services; past Board member of the YMCA Camp Potowatami.
Brooks lives in Roanoke with his wife Carol. They have two grown children, Margaret & Robert.
