NEW PAINT ON AN OLD NAME
Karl Utterback, of Creative Image, spruces up the sign at 2616 Lower Huntington Road. The name of the local watering hole has been changed from Bumpers back to Hook & Ladder.
The bar was originally named Stakers Tavern. Charlie Lancaster purchased it from the Staker brothers 38 years ago. He named it the ‘Hook and Ladder’. Wim Bosch purchased it in 1991 and named it ‘Bumpers’, but recently decided to change it back to the ‘Hook and Ladder’.
