In this day of uncertain times and plague type diseases it is a great comfort to know something that has not changed. Faith is our walk in the Lord’s path. In recognizing God’s will for our life we acknowledge our very essence and nature of His divine source. “Fill your life with experiences, not excuses” this saying yearns for our acknowledgement. Faith today means that we are somebody. Our plans and aspirations have substance. I encourage you to apply the truths and realities of our Lord to your everyday life, for He encourages you to be “all you can be”. When we arise each morning, we often find ourselves taking for granted the substance that faith has provided us. We often take each day for granted, looking for trouble in the day rather than an experience that will cause us to rejoice. As I ponder today what it would have been like to do things differently, I realize that in order to make these things happen as faith would have them occur, I must recognize that there are options available to choose from. Oh if I had written down those options, or spoke of what was available to me, would I have chosen different?
When we accomplish something we look at this with pride. We avow to ourselves a sense of accomplishment. From this sense, springs forth faith that we can use to springboard other successes. If your challenge today is weight control, start with breakfast and note that you succeeded for this meal to not consume more than you needed. When the next meal arrives, you may find that if you review the success from the first time, you will succeed with each additional endeavor. Thus through faith in the carnal, you succeed in the body. Application of this faith to all areas of your life allows us to realize God’s plan for our lives and to succeed in following and applying Gods word to our life. All this and more can be found within the “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”.
