JULIA’S PET CORNER
I made a huge mistake the other day. I have three dogs I board quite often. When they are staying with us, I usually keep them with me. My daughter wanted to go to the mall to get some job applications so I put the three dogs in the guest room with food and water. We were gone an hour and fifteen minutes.
I had to pick up another dog to board so I dropped my daughter off at the house with orders to let the dogs out to potty. My daughter called me about five minutes later and said I would not believe what the dogs did to the guest room. She said they had torn up the carpet. I thought she must have been exaggerating. We were only gone a short period of time. Maybe they had pulled up a corner or something. I was sure I could repair whatever damage was done when I got home. I could not have been more wrong! The guest room looked like we had left those dogs alone for days. The carpet and the padding were ripped, torn, shredded, you name it, and they did it.
When I walked in they were all laying on the guest bed looking just as innocent as can be. I do not know what possessed them to do that terrible deed, but you can bet, I’ll never leave them alone again!
