LETTER TO THE EDITOR

In reference to your article on November 10 about the Veteran’s Stand Down.

I would like to thank all the brothers and sisters at the Local 2209 and the Management at GM for allowing us the time off from our jobs, when manpower is short, to help out with this important event.

Paul Gebert (Santa Clause), Dave Britton from General Motors and the UAW Local 2209 members helped in the execution of the Veteran’s Stand Down on November 12, 2004. Our fellow workers and Management at General Motors made it possible for all of us to help in this special event.

We thank our Veterans for their sacrifices in keeping our Country free.
