JOHN J. SONNIGSEN, 84

JOHN J. SONNIGSEN, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, October 22, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born July 2, 1920, in Paulding County, Ohio. He retired in 1985 as truck maintenance supervisor for Perfection Biscuit Co. He was a member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge, the Emerald Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Faith Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his companion, Orpha Allyne Zerby of Fort Wayne; daughters, Penny (Richard) Steinhilber of Markle, Sara Johnson of Bluffton and Jayne (David) Stove of Ossian; sons, Jim Sonnigsen of Markle and Jerry (Judi) Sonnigsen of Bluffton; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kedrick Sonnigsen; and sisters, Eunice Johnson, Pearl Bauer and Agnes Allen.

Funeral service was Monday, October 25, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.

Memorials to Shriners Children’s Hospital or Riley Hospital For Children.
